The department of ecology and general biological disciplines was created in 2021 after the reorganization of the department of agrochemistry, chemical and general biological disciplines and the department of ecology, quarantine and plant protection.

It graduates with the specialty "Ecology". The department provides the implementation of the educational program of higher education at the bachelor's, master's degree, responsible for the training of specialists, development of educational plans, provision of programs, management of production practice, organization of the work of examination commissions.

Scientific and pedagogical workers teach of chemical and biological disciplines for students of higher education at the Faculty of Agricultural Technologies and Nature Management, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry Technologies.

Methodical work

In order to methodically ensure the teaching of academic disciplines on the basis of current educational and professional programs, working programs of teachers have been developed. Manuals, methodological recommendations for practical and lecture classes, developed lecture texts are printed. Scientific and pedagogical workers of the department take part in reviewing the abstracts of candidate theses and various scientific and methodological manuals, thus increasing their professional level.

Various types of independent work have been developed for professional training of future specialists.

Distance learning technologies allow to continue the educational process using electronic learning tools, including the Moodle and Zoom platforms.

Improving the quality of the educational process through the introduction of the latest educational innovative technologies is facilitated by cooperation with leading highly efficient institutions, enterprises, farms.

 

Scientific work

Scientific circles systematically function on the basis of the department.

On the basis of the conducted research, projects are prepared for competitions of student scientific works, reports for scientific student conferences. Lecturers of the department act as official opponents of doctoral and candidate theses, take direct part in and organize conferences.

The department cooperates with industrial enterprises, research institutions on issues related to the development and environmental expertise of projects, monitoring and assessment of the effects of production activities on the environment, environmental protection, rational use of natural resources.

  • Development and improvement of ecological and agrotechnical measures of adaptive varietal technology of soybean cultivation in the Western Forest Steppe.
  • The influence of ecological technologies of growing agricultural crops on their productivity.
  • Agroecological and theoretical substantiation of biological nitrogen fixation and productivity of leguminous crops in the conditions of the Western forest steppe.
  • Resource-saving millet cultivation technologies.
  • The use of biological preparations in the cultivation of agricultural crops.

  • Substantiating the elements of farming technology. cultures on their productivity.
