The department conducts research work in accordance with the scientific topic “Development and Improvement of Technology Elements of Growing Agricultural Crops under the Western Forest Steppe Conditions”, which is implemented in the following directions:

  • Theory and Practice of Energy-Saving Agriculture, Based on the Rational Use of Soil Biological Resources, Introduced Macro- and Microflora, and Fauna;
  • Study of the Genesis and Properties of the Soils of Western Ukraine, Development of Measures to Preserve their Fertility and Rational Use of Soil Cover;
  • Monitoring Buckwheat Diseases and Estimating Disease Resistance of Buckwheat Varieties;
  • Phytosanitary Monitoring of Winter Wheat, Maize and Sunflower Crops and Improvement of the System, Protecting Mentioned Agricultural Crops Against Harmful Organisms;
  • Optimizing Technology Elements of Growing Leguminous Crops;
  • Introduction of New Grain and Fodder Crops;
  • Development of Sorghum Crops Growing Technology;
  • Optimizing Elements of Potato Cultivation Technology;
  • Development and Use of Perennial Fodder Phytocoenosis;
  • Optimizing Green Mowing-Pasture Conveyor.
