On August 27, 2002, the "Energy of Agricultural Production" department was established on the basis of the "Physics and Electrification of Agriculture" department (head of the Faculty of Science, Associate Professor Mykola Chirkin). In 2008, the department was renamed to the department of energy and electrotechnical systems in the agricultural industry (the head of the department is Ph.D., associate professor Ihor Garasymchuk). In 2019, the department was reorganized into the department of "Electrical engineering, electromechanics and electrotechnologies".

Teaching

The department trains bachelors, masters and candidates of sciences (doctors of philosophy).

Full-time and extramural forms of education.

On the basis of secondary education - admission to the 1st year of full-time and part-time education.

Based on the qualification of a junior specialist, admission to the 2nd year of full-time and 3rd year of correspondence forms of education is based on the results of exams.

The department has a high scientific potential - a professor, 6 candidates of sciences, 5 associate professors. During the entire period of study, students, together with teachers, are engaged in scientific developments, perform real technical projects, the results of which are published in scientific papers. This allows you to gain practical skills and demonstrate your capabilities to potential employers.

Main directions of scientific work

  • research, modeling and optimization of power supply systems of agricultural enterprises;
  • reduction of energy consumption and automation of livestock and poultry production;
  • development of methods and electronic systems of electromagnetic technology for treating animals and destroying pests;
  • development of technological process parameter control systems;
  • development and research of alternative energy supply systems.

Practical training

Practical training of students takes place according to the end-to-end program of practical training.

Educational practices of students are conducted in educational workshops, laboratories and branches of the department, where there are necessary conditions for its implementation.
